There will be at least five, possibly six Kentucky Wildcats taken in the first round of this NBA Draft this June 28th, and yes we know that’s just plain nuts. All the “league” level talent coming out of Lexington, some of the guys get lost in the shuffle and forgotten. Everyone knows Anthony Davis, and most people know Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, but what about Terrence Jones, who sits at the edge of the lottery picks?

Jones came to UK with Brandon Knight and Doron Lamb, and has already bought a Cadillac for his mom in anticipation of the draft.

Here’s where we have Jones in our latest mock draft:

17. Dallas- Terrence Jones, F, Kentucky, 6-9, So.
Jason Kidd, Jason Terry, Delonte West, and possibly Vince Carter will all be free agents meaning the Mavs need some new blood in their backcourt.  However, Terrence Jones has top ten talent but happens to fall in this scenario so I would expect a team like the Mavs to end his slide.  If Dallas does go need, Terrence Ross would be the guy.
